Why violin maker?

At a very young age I started studying violin at the Centre d’Estudis Musicals Especialitzats (CEME). After that, I went on to study Bachelor’s Degree at the Conservatory in Sabadell.

For the final project for my GCE, dedicated to the study of the violin (origin, history, luthiers,…) and to five internationally renowned violinists, I visited Cremona, I discovered this wonderful job and it triggered off my interest for the profession of violin maker.

Where did I study?

In 2012 I started my professional studies at the School of Violin Making of the Basque Countrty (BELE), in Bilbao, where I obtained the degree in 2015. That same year I went on to study al the Newark School of Violin Making, and graduated in 2018.

And now?

When I came back, I worked for Harriet Kjaer in her workshop “Cinc Cordes”, in Barcelona, and I also collaborated with “Artesans Lutiers”, in Sant Cugat (Barcelona).

In 2021 I decided to set up my own workshop in Sabadell (the town I was born in), to offer my services both to professional musicians and students. As well as that, I give introductory courses to violin making in the Arts and Crafts School “Ravals Talllers”, in Sabadell.
